Quantum Multiverse

Definition

The multiverse is the physical reality described by quantum theory: a structure of many quasi-autonomous histories whose interactions explain quantum phenomena.

Why It Matters

The multiverse is the most realistic interpretation of our best theory. If true, it means your “world” is just one thin slice of an immense physical structure. The stake is the abandonment of “history” as a single path and the acceptance of a vastly larger, more complex, and more explanatory reality that removes the observer from a privileged position.

Core Concepts

  • The world is larger than one history: What we call a universe is one stream within a broader physical structure.
  • Information flow defines histories: Histories are organized by how information remains coherent or branches.
  • Quantum theory needs explanation: Treating the equations as mere prediction rules leaves reality unexplained.
  • Realism favors the multiverse: If the multiverse is required by the best explanation, it should be treated as real.
